The service

What is a Fractional CIO?

A Fractional CIO is an experienced IT leader who supports your organisation on a part-time basis. You get strategy, roadmap, architecture, budget control, supplier follow-up and security check-ups, without hiring a full-time CIO.

What does STVIT do concretely for my company?

STVIT translates your IT strategy into a feasible roadmap, guides architecture choices around cloud, infrastructure, applications and data, draws up and monitors the IT budget, challenges suppliers and proposals, oversees your project portfolio and carries out security, continuity and governance check-ups. Results are reported to management in clear business language.

Does STVIT work independently of suppliers?

STVIT independently challenges IT partners, contracts, SLAs and proposals. The goal is for you to make decisions based on your own objectives, not on a supplier's agenda.

What is not covered by the formula?

24/7 support, helpdesk or permanent operational management are not included. Extra days, hands-on project work and travel costs are quoted separately.

12-6 or 24-12?

What is the difference between 12-6 and 24-12?

Both formulas offer the same CIO service. The difference lies in the annual volume: 12-6 includes 12 days on-site and 6 days remote (144 hours per year), 24-12 includes 24 days on-site and 12 days remote (288 hours per year).

What type of SME suits 12-6?

12-6 suits SMEs looking for steady, predictable IT guidance: a clear roadmap, a solid budget, follow-up of the main suppliers and a periodic security check-up.

When is 24-12 the better formula?

24-12 is the better choice if you have more projects running at once, follow more suppliers or applications, or want more on-site presence. You then have more room for consultation with management, teams and partners.

Which formula should I choose if I'm unsure?

No problem: in the first conversation and the quick scan we look together at which volume fits your situation. In the contact form you can also indicate that you haven't decided yet.

Planning and operation

What do I receive during the first 90 days?

During the first 90 days you receive a baseline assessment of your IT landscape, a risk picture covering security and continuity, a roadmap with priorities, a budget overview with a first forecast, a governance calendar and your first management report.

How are on-site and remote days planned?

Days are planned in advance and spread across the contract year, alternating between on-site and remote. Every quarter ends with a review of risks, decisions and priorities.

How many hours is one day?

One working day counts as 8 hours.

What happens to days I don't use?

Unused days expire at the end of the contract year, unless agreed otherwise in writing. That is why we plan the days in advance across the whole year.

How do I get started?

The process starts with a no-obligation intake, followed by a quick scan of 1 to 2 days covering strategy, applications, infrastructure, data, security, budget, suppliers and projects. The quick scan is paid (price on request). A tailored proposal, a kick-off, the annual planning and the quarterly reviews follow.

Is the quick scan free?

No. The intake is no-obligation, the quick scan is a paid assignment of 1 to 2 days (price on request). You get a clear picture of your IT and a solid basis for a tailored proposal.

Price and conditions

What do Fractional CIO 12-6 and 24-12 cost?

The price depends on the chosen formula and your situation. We do not list prices on this website: request a no-obligation quote via the contact form and you will receive a tailored proposal. Prices in your proposal exclude VAT.

How do I request a price?

Choose the formula you are interested in (or 'not sure yet') in the contact form and leave your details. I will contact you within a few working days and send you a tailored proposal.
